Drafted 1st overall by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, Daniel Catenacci is one of the many players to have graduated from the York - Simcoe Express Hockey Association program. At 5'10, Daniel has proved that size isn't everything. In his Minor Midget year, Catenacci tallied an outstanding 87 points (42G 45A) in 39 games and recorded a grand total of 152 penalty minutes. Daniel spent four seasons in the OHL (two with the Greyhounds and two with the Owen Sound Attack) where he recorded a grand total of 252 points in 266 games played. In 2011, Daniel was drafted 77th overall (3rd round) by the Buffalo Sabres.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS & ACCOLADES:
- Won a silver medal with the Canadian U-17 team at the World Hockey Championship in 2009/10.
- Was a member of the Canadian U-18 team at the Ivan Hilinka Memorial tournament in 2010/11 that won gold.
