The holiday season is a time for giving, and York-Simcoe Express (YSE) is proud to continue its annual tradition of supporting local communities under our new motto:
“YSE Gives Back.”On December 20th and 21st, YSE will host 11 games at SAC with every team taking part in this special weekend of hockey and community spirit.
Food Drive for Local Pantries: With demand at local food pantries at an all time high, YSE families are invited to bring non-perishable food donations to the SAC lobby. Contributions will be collected through the YSE donation train and delivered to food pantries in Aurora, Newmarket and Bradford.
Supporting Soutlake Health and Maternal Child Program: In place of our traditional Toy Drive, this year's benefactor is Soutlake Health and Maternal Child Program. Donations will be accepted in monetary form (QR Code Donations that will be available in the SAC lobby, Hurst Bakery Gingerbread Cookies are available for a $10 donation, and YSE Holiday Mugs that are filled with goodies and ready to purchase in limited quantities!)
Socks for Seniors: YSE branded socks will be for sale in the SAC Lobby by our U14 Team. The team will also be selling an assortment of baked goods. All proceeds will be going towards the Petro-Canada Care Makers Foundation, in support of care givers.
