U14’s Win Wendy Dufton Tournament in London
The U14’s are Champions! This past weekend the YSE U14 team (2012-born) attended and won the Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament in London, ON, hosted by the London Jr Knights. The team went 6 and 0 on the weekend allowing only 8 goals against and scoring 33 over the 6 games.The group beat the Mississauga Senators Saturday night in the Quarters before sending Barrie home Sunday morning in the Semis and topping Halton in the Final game. The players and their families also took in a London Knights OHL game while in town.
This marks the third consecutive year for this group with at least one tournament win and the team is proud to add the prestigious Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament to their list of accomplishments. A special thank you to the London Jr Knights and the Tournament Committee for hosting the team, it is a weekend they will not soon forget.
