Minor Midget, 2019-2020 (York-Simcoe Express)

As many of you know, the Minor Midget players and their families have spent the month of October focused on raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research.  Their very successful efforts included bake sales and raffles, community donations and players wearing pink jerseys and apparel for all October games.     

On Oct 3, the Minor Midget and Novice Team’s kicked off our YSE Player Mentor Program for the 2019-2020 Season!  This partnership between the two teams involves each Minor Midget Player being paired with a Novice player for the season in a Mentor role.   This provides the Minor Midget players the opportunity to act in a leadership and role model capacity as they provide support and encouragement to the Novice players in their first year of competitive hockey.  It is our hope that they will not only support and learn from each other, but also form some relationships that will last well beyond ...
