Congratulations to the York Simcoe Express U14 (2012-born) team on winning the OMHA Championship this past weekend in Newmarket!
The team went 2 and 1 in Round Robin play advancing to the Sunday morning Semi Final against Hamilton Steel. With a convincing 5-1 win over Hamilton they punched their ticket to the Finals for a 5pm match up Sunday evening at a packed Magna Centre. YSE pulled off an exciting 5-0 win over the Halton Hurricanes in the Championship game to secure the first ever OMHA Championship for this group.
With the tournament win this group will now be headed off to the OHL Cup in Kingston from April 17-19th where they will face off against the best teams from throughout Ontario and the US.
