Congratulations to the Peewees on winning OMHA Bronze
Submitted By YSE on Sunday, March 25, 2018
Congratulations to the Peewee team on winning the OMHA Bronze medal by defeating the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs in a 2-1 victory.

The Bronze Medal game was YSE Peewee at Hamilton Bulldogs. They met in the first game of the Round Robin Preliminaries. Everyone knew it would be a very good, close game.

0-0 late into the second period and with Bradley Gardiner stepping out of the penalty box received a stretch pass from "Fabio" Ionta and went in on a breakaway and scored with 0.55 seconds left in the second period.

YSE played a virtually flawless 3rd period until late when Hamilton with pressure scored the game tieing goal with 1:45pm.

Off to OT, first 10 minute OT scoreless, second 10 minute OT scoreless ... exciting end to end action with scoring opportunities for both teams.

Opening face off of the 3rd OT Fionn Keon went in on a breakaway and scored the game winner 7 seconds into the 3rd OT.

What a game and what a big win for the YSE Peewee Hockey Team to cap off a great year.
