Alumnus Nick Moutrey signs Entry Level Contract
Submitted By Adam Nightingale on Friday, March 6, 2015
On Friday afternoon, the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets announced they have come to an agreement with YSE Alumnus Nick Moutrey on his entry level contract.

In Nick's Minor Midget year, he recorded 89 points in 40 games (43 goals 46 assists).  Nick was also a student at St. Andrew's College.  Nick was drafted 15th overall by the Saginaw Spirit in the 2011 OHL priority selection.  Nick spent three full seasons with the Spirit and the better part of the 2014-15 season with them before being traded to the North Bay Battalion.  To date, Moutrey has recorded 143 points in 250 OHL games.  In 2013, the native of Shelburne, Ontario, was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 4th round (105th overall).  On behalf of ALL of us here at YSE, we're excited and proud beyond words.  Congratulations Nick and best of luck!
