Selected by the London Knights 19th overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection, the Keswick, Ontario native spent 7 years with the Express organization.  In his Minor Midget season, Chris tallied 90 points in 57 games in 2009-2010.  Despite struggling in his rookie season in the OHL, Tierney quickly turned his game around the following season.  After recording a mere 11 points in 47 games, Chris stepped his play up a notch and tallied 34 points in 65 games in 2011-2012.  His turn-around performance was good enough to catch the eye of the San Jose Sharks who selected him 55th overall in the 2nd round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.  Tierney would go on to play two more seasons in London, including one as their captain in 2013-2014.
